Chapter-wise weightage and study hours
Weightage is the chapter's share of past-paper questions, normalised within its subject; hours are a first pass without revision.
No reliable weightage exists for this exam's topics yet, so weights follow the official syllabus structure. Treat them as a planning aid.
Part-level marks are OFFICIAL (Advt 07/2026, Annexure II, G.O.Ms.No.158 of 2018). Within each part the numbered syllabus items get equal shares (*). AP-specific content: AP economy after 2014 bifurcation and AP Reorganisation Act issues (Part C item 5).
Paper marks and the Telugu/English component marks are OFFICIAL (Advt 07/2026). Papers I-V have no official item marks, so numbered syllabus items get equal shares (*). Some coaching sites claim AP dropped interviews; Advt 07/2026 still lists a 75-mark interview. No optional subjects (abolished in the 2016-18 APPSC reform; G.O.Ms.No.158 of 2018 scheme).
* Estimated weight: no reliable past-paper figure exists for this chapter, so the number is our estimate from the paper structure.

Frequently asked questions
Which chapters carry the most weight in APPSC Group 1?
Going by our compiled weightage, the heaviest chapters are Section I: current affairs essay, Section II: socio-political, socio-economic or socio-environmental essay, Section III: cultural/historical, civic awareness or reflective essay, Reasoning: logical, series, coding-decoding, relations, Venn diagrams, clocks, calendar, age, Percentage, interest, profit and loss, time-work, time-distance. They are worth starting early, but past papers vary from year to year, so plan to cover the whole syllabus.
Is this APPSC Group 1 weightage official?
No. Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) publishes the syllabus, not chapter weightage. These numbers come from analyses of previous years' papers, so treat them as a guide to priority, not a promise of what will be asked.
How many hours does the APPSC Group 1 syllabus take?
Our first-pass estimate adds up to about 950 hours of study, before revision and mock tests. At 6 hours a day, 6 days a week, that is roughly 6.1 months. Daily Tayyari replaces these defaults with your actual pace after the first week or two.
Is Daily Tayyari free, and does it work in Hindi?
Yes. It is free with no ads and no payment; you sign in with Google only so your plan is saved. You can switch between Hindi and English at any time, and chapter names are shown in both.
